    Hair Transplant Ziering UK

    Hi
I have been to see this company in London, which was formally the hospital group! I have read some of the bad stories regards the hospital group but now it has the backing of Ziering Medical wondered if any one here has had a hair transplant since the change, the surgeon I met with was Art Katona and wanted to find out if anyone knows of him and his work? am considering a hair transplant but am obviously nervous reading some of the horror stories on here. Would appreciate if any one could provide any info.

    Cheers

I would only have the surgery done by Dr. Ziering himself. I know he is an IAHRS doctor, but I don’t think any of his staff doctors in the UK are. I would not take a chance with anyone who does not make the IAHRS. I now they probably say that they are all trained by Zieirng but if they were as good they would be listed on the website. Check with them at www.iahrs.org to make sure, I could be wrong.

      Hi Amadeus

Many Thanks, checked and no he is not on the list, is an American surgeon but I guess they are not all good! only one in the UK looks to be Dr Farjo so may need to book in with him I guess.

        As an after thought
Has any body here had any experience with Dr Farjo, seem's to have a good reputation in fact the only one with a reputation in the UK by the look of it ! but would still be good to hear from someone with first hand experience?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that Dr. Art Katona is a former HT surgeon at MHR, Medical Hair Restoration (former hair mill now merged with Bosley, another hair mill) Buyer Beware!.

That is where both Ziering and he used to work and know each other.

Just be very careful! If you are in the UK and want accurate honest information about hair transplants speak to Spex http://spexhair.com
The guy is about the most informed guy in the Uk if not the world on hair loss and hair transplants.

Actually Dr. Zieing has a very good reputation, I think he meant the other doctor had a bad rep. Either way, check with the IAHRS and spex is a good guy too. He works for Dr. Alan Feller who is a great doctor but in the U.S. Like you pointed out Farjo is in the UK and supposed to be one of the best.

                  Thanks Guys
And apologies if post wasn't clear, as Amadeus pointed out I meant the company they worked for. Not looking to rubbish any body's reputation just trying to make sure I use somebody who's work is recognised.

Recognized wok meaning competent and talented and "reputable".

Hi mate. If locations a problem another opition is bhr in Brussels (2 hours on eurostar from London) that's where I went after considering dr feller. Dr bisanga was excellent and you can see plenty of his work on loads of hair loss sites. I don't post poctures personally just a choice iv made. St least consider them mate. I'm sure dr feller is equally as good though.

First post, no pictures=Shill. I would only go to an IAHRS doctor. Be very careful when reading the forums.

What's shill? Iv been reading these forums forever and had a 'consultation' with norton a year before my surgery so I know how close I came to making the worst mistake of my life, I still feel sick at the thought of the old man who went in to the salesman after me. Luckily a year of research later I found dr bisanga. I'm not trying to sell anything, like I said feller will be a good doc to as are many others you will see by doing the research. The only message I'm putting forward is that you must beware of the huge majority of uk clinics, whether it be my first post or not, and whether I want my surgery to be 100 percent confidential or not. The fact is I do, and as I have very disginguisable hair/forehead I'm not risking being reviled. My choice. There's plenty of evidence of the good docs out there already, and I'm just saying dr bisanga is one who isn't to far away.
