    I agree, you should definitely try Propecia/finasteride to see if it helps slow or stop your hair loss. Much better to keep the hair that you've got than rely solely on a transplant. I've used Propecia for 7 years with no side effects. I really wish I'd started taking it earlier. There are people who have taken Proscar, which is 5 times as strong, for years, so I’d be surprised if Propecia was unsafe. What are your reasons for not wanting to take it?

    If you think that you might want to shave your head in future then any transplant must be with an FUE harvest, not strip.
