Where to store proscar once it is cut into quaters?

I had a consultation with Dr. Jerry Wong about a month ago, and prescribed me proscar and told me to split it into quaters and stuff, but he did also told that these lose their potency if they are exposed to sun, air etc. Where can i keep these safe in the meantime?

It's recommended that you only cut one pill at a time. If it's exposed to air for a long time it can lose it's potency.
