I have lost hair on minoxidil but not a huge amount in about ten years. I have decided to stop taking saw palmetto today. All it seems to do is make my hair thin and give me stomach ache. I have stopped the spiro 5% I was using because it stunk and was making my hair thin. Back to the minoxidil on its own...my hair has thinned a lot in the past 6 months which I am gutted about. It really isn't a big deal to use. Get up shave, brush teeth, wash face, apply 1ml of fluid to my hair and rub in. Takes a minute.

Thanks for your reply fairly yea that palmetto junk.is garbage it just sucks when you try something to grow back hairs and halt any hairloss you might have and get the opposite reaction. That's odd that spiro did that have you looked at 15 percent minox??

Saw palmetto wont do jack - you need a strong DHT inhibitor, but ill be damed if I ever decide to take one of them! At 17 get a doctors opinion before taking finasteride.

I think you should avoid the finasteride too dude. I am quite averse to taking anything like that. I'm sure it has worked for many guys but I'd rather leave my hormones alone. I don't know why I tried saw palmetto. I think you assume because it's 'natural' its somehow better. Good luck with the minoxidil. I was going to try 15% but the 5% is really cheap so I am just going to try doubling it for a while to see what happens. Plus I have got 'hair muck' now which you mix in with it. Going to see what happens.
