How is norwood one considered no loss
How is norwood one considered no loss if the airline obviously looks curved and there seems to be temple recession. i am asking because I seem to be a NW1 and was thinking about rogaine but people advise I wouldnt need it.

I don't know who started this rumor that NW1 is no hairloss whatsoever. NW1 looks like a hairline with a sort of M shape corners if you see it from the top. A normal matured hair line is straight, with just slight, very slight corners.
I'd say, IMO, NW1 is the very start of a receding hairline/temples. Like baby stage.

Yes - a NW 0 is no hair loss

You think I should start rogaine?

Jesus Christ kid, don't be an idiot. You know you have perfect hair when you can comb it any way you like and it doesn't look like there should be more there. You just KNOW.
Plus, minoxidil RARELY affects the hairline.

I agree with you but im trying to keep my hair that way. You have no idea how bad I look to my self with short Hairs.

Unless you are a diffuse thinner, the only reason I can think of would be if you were a long-time long-hair and just only cut it short for the army or other obligation.
Trust me, this effect that you see, is only apparent to yourself, because your hair was used to being long and showing your scalp in different ways. In 3-4 months time you'll be fine and dandy. I went into shock the first time I shorn my locks for the army and at NW1 was utterly convinced I was a balding clown. Nothing could be further from the truth.
So shut up and abide

minoxidil filled in my temples SLIGHTLY. When nothing else would. Then again when I stopped minox those minox dependant hairs fell off.

Do everything to try to keep your hair. You don't want to be passive because you have a lot of hair but know your balding. Don't get to the stage where you'd wish you would have done something before.

Id love to do everything to protect my loss, but starting Finasteride is scary business, I could end up rupturing my sex drive for the rest of my life, its not easy making that decision, I decided to abstain from fin.
I hope it was the right decision.
