Here's an interesting article from The Bald Truth about the legitimacy of the LaserComb.
FDA Warns HairMax LaserComb Makers About Illegal Sales of Non-FDA Cleared DevicesComment

Dear Spencer, Months ago when you interviewed David Michaels, one of the inventors of the HairMax Lasercomb, he said that he was going to give you a copy of the study that Lexington presented to the FDA in order for the Lasercomb to gain market clearance, did you ever see the study, and if so...
Dear Chris,
I never did receive that study. The truth is I still haven’t seen any substantial evidence that the HairMax Lasercomb can effectively treat hair loss to any appreciable degree. I’m still waiting.

I am still waiting too! I bought the Hairmax Laser Comb exactly 14weeks ago today. I have been using it exactly as prescribed and to be honest I definitely have less hair on my head now than before I started the treatment.
In the first 3 weeks I was shedding hair like it was going out of style. I was told not to worry because that was a normal side effect from the laser comb. I was told that I should start to see something after 2-3 months of use. Well I am at 3.5 months and still nothing. The FDA studies were over a 6 month period and I was told to continue using the comb for 6 months to see maximum results. I am very anxious right now - I would hate to find out I paid all that money just to speed up my hair loss!
Next year I will be 40 and I am going to go see Dr. Rahal in Ottawa to get myself a hair transplant for a birthday gift - to myself.
I used Finasteride for 10years but found that I was starting to lose the gains I enjoyed in the first 3-4 years. I switched to Avodart over the last 1.5 years - it did help a little but not great. Now with the comb my hair hasn't ever looked this bad! Either Lexington (Hairmax) is correct and by 6 months of treatment I'll have some good results or I will have to wait until this time next year to get this mess fixed by Dr. Rahal...Comment
