Default How short can a person buzz their hair for the scar to not be seen?

For example, could someone buzz to a number 5 or 4 ?

    Thank you

I've heard that you can go down to number 3.

Looks like Jon Gosselin ( the guy guy who had 8 kids ) decided to cut his hair really short in the back

And you can clearly see his scar

With a skilled surgeon and careful following of post-op guidelines, (and without unfavourable skin characteristics or very low density in the donor region) cutting to a 3 guard should be possible in most cases. Some patients can go down to a 2.

It depends on a number of things such as surgeon skill, patient healing characteristics, and quality of the surrounding hair.

The case I show below is a great example of a nearly perfect scar at 5 months. And this was in a guy who followed NO instructions postop.

And this is a fellow who followed all the instructions but due to thin surrounding hair and some shockloss his scar was VERY visible at 3 months (first pic) but turned out great at 6 months.
