Absolutely. Bauman was laughable. LLLT doesn't do anything. It's complete pseudoscience. It's a disgrace that there's still members of the IAHRS offering it. It's a joke.

what i find very curious is that the results of transplant really vary per surgeon...what feriduni does with 5.000 grafts, someone like bauman could probably never do...

Feriduni is an artist when it comes to hair restoration. Bauman not so much though he does do some good temple points in fairness.

Graft density, graft placement and angulation, zoning of 2s & 3s, lateral slit are all so mega important. Feriduni like Feller, H&W, the Shapiros bros and others really know how to maximise every graft. There's actually some different philosophies when it comes to all these matters plus customisation to the individual. Dr. Lam has an excellent blog on the design aspects of hair restoration. The central forelock being the most vital arguably.

Check out his blog. I think it's essential reading for anyone considering a procedure. It helps us to understand the art of HT plus the limitations.

Okay, logical that some people will truly master that art then...

Like some other surgeons with good blogs, Dr. Lam’s writing ability seems to be a lot better then his hair transplants. You never see a finished results from any of his videos and there are many complaints online about him. He’s another one of the great online marketers with nothing to back it up. I’m a little surprised you would link to his stuff since you seem to be fairly knowledgeable. No offence.

i think he meant his blog, not necessarily his transplants...the blog is informative, but indeed, i would not go to this guy...i'm pretty much set on feriduni, if i'm going to need it . still a NW 1...don't want to do anything just yet.

I'm not saying go to Dr. Lam. I'm sure he's not on the IAHRS for a reason. Despite that though, the articles are good. Definitely some of the most comprehensive and informative on the design, graft placement etc. I don't think he deals exclusively with HTs either. It's a useful resource is all. It's a bit like the Rassman thing. He runs a good informative blog on the developments in the industry but would I advise anyone to go to him for a HT? Hell no. His work is not the best. I really truly believe there's only a handful of top docs. Actually I believe there's only 6 in the world.

I imagine the top docs are too busy doing HTs every day to write a comprehensive blog.
