Can I take a whole 5 MG Finasteride pill every 5 days?

So let's say you take a 5MG pill on Monday, and another 5MG pill on Saturday, and so on, every 5 days. Is there anything wrong with this?

Or do you HAVE to take Fin daily in order for it to work?

I think once you've been on finasteride for a while, several months, you can probably do this. But I would probably take a half, like every third day.

No don't do this. You can take 1.25mg daily for four days then skip day 5, butyou shouldn't go 4 days without. The reason is because of the half life of finasteride, you will have no dht inhibition during that time and I suspect it would not be as good as daily dosing, although there is no data to prove this.

So the half life is 6-8 hours I read.

Okay, I tried a 5MG on Friday. Today is the 5th day. So I guess that was a bad idea, I did not know the half life was so short. I guess i'll go back to 1.25MG a day and i'll try that skip one day only. I've been taking 1.25MG daily for 7 months.
