Default How come propecia takes so long to work?

If propecia lowers your DHT levels by about 60% within a month or so, how come it can take up to 12 months for the hair to JUST stop falling out?
    Thanks for the responses guys

The average human sheds 50-100 hairs per day, even 150-200, so hair will never just stop falling out.

Men with MPB shed hair, but the problem is the hair grows back thinner and thinner until it's just microscopic/bald. While a non follically-challenged person's hair grows back strong and thick.

So if Propecia/Finasteride stops your hair from falling completely, then you have a problem. Proppecia can lower DHT, so that your hair cycle will be more like a normal person, I think, i'm not a doctor or scientist so I don't know if i'm right.

Also don't forget you may go through shedding cycles while on Fin or Minoxidil, which means new thicker healthier hairs will come out. I'm currently going through my first shed 7 months in to Finasteride and I hope this just means the thin hairs I have are gonna be replaced by thicker one's. I see people worrying about sheds too much but i'm actually enthusiastic.
