Finasteride Prices

I've been browsing the forum looking for a thread talking about the prices but I haven't found anything.

I got a prescription from my Dr. but I'd really like to know about the prices, I just went to my regular pharmacy and the guy told me Propecia was more than $100 a month and that's a lot of money.

Searching the internet I've read the brand might be $60-$70 a month with prescription and I know there's a lot of generic finasteride in the market so I have to questions.

1. How much the brand one cost? any particular pharmacy ?
2. Does the generic ones have the same effect and wich one are you taking?
