Please take a look at this
Okay, I'm just gonna run down the facts. I have OCD and I have a horrible fear of losing my hair. It's an on and off fear... dies down then it flares up again. I've posted on here before and my worries died down, but it's flared up again, and I've been checking my hair a lot. I also have seborrhoeic dermatitis and it makes my scalp pink, as opposed to white. My hair is also very fair.
Anyway, I've been using my laptop to take pics of my hair, and I've noticed like this 'strip' of hair that doesn't look as thick as the rest of my hair (you'll see what I mean), and my scalp stands out A LOT against the hair. I checked in the mirror and this 'strip' is non-existent in the mirror and my hair looks as thick as it always has. I decided to use a proper camera and take some pics, and it's made me even more confused. From the camera pics, this part am worrying about looks like a continuation of my crown? I dunno, but yeah. Here are the pics;

And then... this is how my hair is naturally... no wax or anything. It sticks up on it's own naturally, and is very fluffy. This is how it's always been.

Sorry for posting all the pics, but am getting proper worried, and I don't know whether am worrying about nothing... as is the way with OCD :/.
Anyway, any responses would be greatly appreciated.
* I realise I've only just posted a topic, but I asked about my hair on another forum and someone suggested MBP, and it's honestly scared the crap out of my and I feel horrible... I find this place more reliable though... hence all the pics.
Sorry for asking so much, I've just got such a horrible fear of losing my hair it's making me ill, and want to know if it's just my OCD making me worry irrationally, or whether there's something to be genuinely concerned about.
Thanks.

Yeah man, I think we have the same problem. I don't exactly have OCD, but I have another disorder that kind of make me obsess about certain things and of course my hair the first.
I don't know. I can see your scalp on top but that doesn't mean you're losing hair. A lot of people are thinner on top where you can see through their hair but that's just the way their hair is. They never lose any hair. The pic showing your hair wet doesn't show more thinning on top. Usually when the hair is wet is when you can tell there's thinning but I dont see that. But the other thing, does baldness run in your family ? Still doesn't necessarily mean you are going to be bald but you need to monitor the situation.
It would be easy to tell you don't keep thinking about it but I know it isn't. I myself have dreaded this ****ing curse even way before I started seeing signs. I was living in constant fear 24/7 and it did **** up my life.

you wanted some resassurance to feed your OCD here it is
you are not losing your hair that is just a natural "cowlick" nobody can tell any difference between that and a full head of hair. You should go post on an OCD forum because that is ur problem not your hair, ok?

Your hair seems to naturally part in two directions in a line going forward from the your crown. When hair parts scalp will normally be seen.
As VictimOfDHT noted, in the photos where your hair is wet, your hair appears to be of a consistent density all over. With freshly washed and dry hair the parting is also less visible. I think bed head and maybe the gel you were using in the first set of photos are exaggerating the effect. I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

Hey everyone, thanks the the replies, I really appreciate you taking a look.
@VictimofDHT; No, baldness doesn't run in the family. Well, my uncle through marriage is bald, and two of his son's, one being nearly 30, and the other being nearly 40, and they're hair is thinning on top... but then again, his two other son's, one nearing 25 and the other nearing 40 have full heads of hair. So am presuming that the thinning hair from my two cousins is related to my uncle, as no one else in my family is bald. My dad, nearing 60, his hair has receded and he has like a 'tuft' of hair at the front, but it's pretty much all there. He's not bald. He doesn't even have thinning in the crown.
@mothernature; Hey, yeah, you've got me down to a tee. I know I shouldn't ask, but I get so worried, so I figured I'd turn to people who know about hair loss, and can tell me if something is a problem, or a figment of my imagination. I'm on an OCD forum already, lol... I just tend to cope with things on my own, or turn to people for reassurance. But yeah, thanks a lot for your answer, it has helped... even though it has, as you said, 'fed' my OCD.
@mattj. Hey man. Thanks very much for replying. If you say I've got nothing to worry about, then I guess I don't, lol. Thanks a lot for the reply.
