question at almost 6 months post hp

i had a huge amount of hair loss after my hair transplant. now at about 6 months post my hair is coming in. at this point i still have left then when i started and the bald spot at the front of my hairline that i wanted fixed is still there. my question is can i still expect major improvement even though i am at 6 months? is it possible that the bald spot will start to grow hair even though i dont see much now? thanks

Yes it is very possible that you will experience more growth over the next 6 months. Many patients who have significant shock loss after a hair transplant procedure have delayed growth of the newly transplanted hairs. There are no guarentees but hang in there and try to stay positive.

I have seen several patients that have had very significant improvement from 6-12 months post op. Like Dr. Charles said, it's even more common when you have had shock loss to see more growth in the second half of the first year following surgery. Try to be patient. I know it's hard. I have had patients tell me that waiting for their hair to grow in is like watching paint dry, but they always say it was worth it. Keep us posted as to how things are going.
