Post Can fish oil accurate hair fall in bald man?

Can fish oil accurate hair fall in bald man? I have took finasteride 1 mg. a day for over 10 years. It can help me to reduce hair fall well. Then since November last year, I have started diet program which include taking multivitamin and mineral, fish oil, control fat and carbohydrate and exercise 30 minute a day every day until now my weight reduced over 12 Kg. but I have had thinner hair and more hair fall since entering this diet program.

Omega-3 should not induce hair loss, but help to prevent it.

However, exercising every day can accelerate your hair loss due to the excess of testosterone.

    Default Hair Loss with Exercise

I am an Anti Aging physician and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (B HRT) forms the cornerstone of my practice. Most often hair loss--especially with exercise--is due to increased testosterone levels associated with the exercise. However, not always. I have had one patient in whom it was an apparent allergy to fish oil supplements.

The timing of this patient's hair loss just did not fit for the answer to be testosterone. This patient had exercise-induced hair loss that pre-dated testosterone replacement. When a physician (not me!) who has a lot of naturopathic/herbal knowledge suggested my patient stop her fish oil supplement, they tried it and were not able to reproduce the hair loss once the fish oil had cleared their system! I cannot find anything about it in the scientific literature, but it seems clear that in this one patient, fish oil was the culprit.

Just goes to show that you CANNOT close your mind. We in the realm of traditional Western medicine do NOT know everything! (Neither does any other branch of medicine, but traditional Western medicine seems to be unique in thinking that IT does.) Just because something isn't known to be common enough to make it into the literature doesn't mean it CAN'T be!

Best of luck with your issue!

Although I have tried this for treatment, I couldn't see any results. At least visibly.
I have heard that Omega-3 is not very good for man. I don't know why though

    are you people crazy??

Fish oil inhibits the action of this enzyme and reduces conversion to DHT. This saves a lot of hair. It is the basis for the drug Proscar, and Propecia as well as others.
