Cool My hair transplant journey in Turkey

    Hi everybody,

Hi, my name is Anthony Dee. I knew I wouldn't go completely bald because my family has a history of high foreheads but not hair loss. My temple corners have been giving me a lot of trouble over the past two years.

My interest in studying online grew to the point where it consumed my free time. I went to three different hair transplant clinics in Turkey to get a feel for which one would be best for me and my needs.

Almost immediately following my visit at Istanbul's Vera Clinic, I felt a great sense of relief and assurance. The doctors and clinic manager I met with had a complete comprehension of where I was coming from and what I was hoping to accomplish. In the end, I want to feel better about myself. We talked for what felt like forever, I got a quick tour of the clinic, and I even got to sit in on part of a treatment that was being done that day. As someone who has watched far too many surgical procedures explained on YouTube, this was a huge relief. I felt a lot more at ease as the procedure progressed when I saw the patient sit back and enjoy a movie as the crew worked on his hair transplant.

The doctors advised that I slightly recede my hairline while keeping some of the natural thinning, so that it would look good when I was older. They also recommended utilizing finer hairs and a somewhat more relaxed hairline to achieve a more natural look. The other clinics had drawn my hairline much lower and boxed in, which looked nice, but I hadn't really thought about how it would look in 20 or 30 years, so I was quite impressed by this advice. It was really beneficial to witness the actual results of hair transplants performed by doctors. After our appointment, I felt encouraged and energized, certain that I would succeed at last.

After doing some more research into the clinic and reviewing internet reviews as well as forum remarks, I decided to schedule a tentative appointment.

The morning of the procedure finally arrived, and I woke up to a full breakfast. On the way over, I felt some anxiety, but I also knew that I was about to start a new chapter in my life. As soon as I walked through the doors of the clinic, I was greeted by kind doctors and nurses. They showed me around and told me about everyone who works at Vera Clinic, what they do, and how long they've been there.

The doctors then ushered me into a separate consultation room to go through my plan of action for the day. We finalized the day's schedule, sketched out a few different options for my new hairline, and I picked the one I liked most in the mirror. After that, I decided what I wanted to have for lunch and got my blood pressure tested. Since I am overjoyed to announce this to the world, I have filmed a brief interview to share my excitement with everyone. I changed into my gown and walked into the theater to begin the performance.

There was soothing music playing in the background and the room was bright and big. The staff made sure I was settled in and comfortable as soon as I arrived. If I feel bored, I can always watch a movie on the large screen that has been installed. It had been lying face down on the operating table on which the hairs are removed.

It was a very strange feeling to be completely numb after receiving a local anesthetic. The first few injections of numbing medicine were felt, but after that, I felt nothing. In the course of a little over an hour, the doctor removed 1400 hair grafts from my donor area.

I was given a few minutes to relax and refuel after the extraction process, after which I returned for the next phase. At this point, I was seated at an angle as the doctor sedated my hairline and made numerous small incisions all over my scalp to plant the grafts. While I watch under a microscope, the medical staff is busy processing and preparing the hair grafts behind me. This is the most pleasant part of the process, albeit it is a little strange since I can hear a sound like snow being stepped on as the doctor makes each incision as I watch a movie. I can hear it, but I have no sense of it at all. The team's ability to keep me abreast of developments through their continuous updates was really appreciated.

The incision process took about an hour, and then I was given a long pause to rest and eat lunch.

Following lunch, I am returned to the operating room, where I will remain in the same position while the team implants the remaining hair grafts. Despite feeling fatigued by the end of the day, I had to admit that the team was quite amusing and kept me entertained the entire time.

After the surgery, I was escorted back to the consultation room where the doctors went over my post-operative care in detail and provided me with a pharmaceutical box to use for the next week. I was driven directly to my lodgings. The day after surgery, I got my hair washed and provided with a bag containing my recovery supplies at the clinic.

My rehabilitation was progressing smoothly, and I was keeping in close contact with Vera Clinic via WhatsApp. Over the past six months, I've received excellent follow-up treatment.
