Default Balding at 19 What Should I do?

Hey everyone. Been reading up some topics here to try to deal with my depression from my hair loss and I must say thanks to everyone sharing it really does help. Anyways I've been reading some about hairloss treatments but I don't know what is right for me. I don't really want to use prepocia because of the possible side-affects. I also don't know if rogaine is right for me because I don't know if it will regrow a receding hairline. ANOTHER question.. can this balding be because of years of wearing a hoodie which includes sleeping with one on? I ask this because both sides of my head look diff but seem to be balding the same shape just different sizes.

can't really tell hair loss from pictures provided. it doesn't show the hairline or how far its receded. propecia is the most effective hair loss medication available right now but if you're afraid of the sides then your second best option seems to be rogaine. rogaine is known to be less effective in the hairline. there aren't any proof that wearing caps will exacerbate hair loss so i doubt wearing hoodie will do any damage.

it's up to you whether u want to take the med. some people would rather give up their sex life for full head of hair. obviously you and many others don't. it's a risk and your own decision.

Genetic hair loss commonly occurs in a assymetrical pattern. One side is a head of the other. Usually in time they even out. I do not think that wearing hoodies had anything to do with your hair loss. If you have a strong family history of male pattern baldness you may want to consider Finasteride to slow down the process and hopefully get control of your situation.
