    Im 16 and worried

Hello, ever since last christmas i have been experiencing a weird feeling in the back of my head on my crown. it feels bare i guess and when i look in the mirror i can see a little bald spot. My hair also feels kinda thin and there isnt to much on my crown. I am only 16 and i have alot of hair. My parents are not bald and i dont think either have hair loss. I started using a blowdryer around Christmas maybe this is drying my hair? I also took and strand and pulled it pretty hard and it broke multiple times when i did it. im not sure if this is suppose to happen but i have a good social life and dont want to be losing hair. Is it possible to post pics to show it? also there is a line by my part if i comb it up and down ( like my back down and the top of my har forward) after i shower when its wet but it goes away after it drys. Idk if my part is suppose to feel sort of tingly or if im losing hair please HELP!!!

it doesn't look like you're losing your hair. i'd go see a dermatologist if you're really concerned about it.

The trouble is, when someone is in the very early stages of losing hair, it's nearly impossible for a photo to show it. My first reaction is to say that no, you aren't losing your hair, but I can't know what the future holds for you. It doesn't look like you should feel bare at the crown though, that's for sure.

Often when someone starts to believe that they've noticed hairloss, there's a good chance that they aren't imagining it; but people can also become worried over a comment or photograph which triggers an unwarranted fear that they're losing hair.

The tingling could be the best evidence that your follicles are under attack from DHT, the hormone implicated in genetic hairloss.

so is the itching on the scalp evidence that DHT is still attacking the hair follicle? That u are still balding if ur head is itchy? Im talking about if u know for certain u have MPB

No, not at all. There are other reasons for getting itches. It's just that itching and tingling sensations on the scalp are one of those things that MPB suffers often experience.

Welll i have had this feeling for about 5 months now ever since i bought my hair dryer and my hair has been feeling dry and such but idk. I hope im not going bald that would be bad. Im so young and really love my hair, but if i do have this and i use stuff to hold it off how long will it take for me to go bald?

It could just be itching due to dry skin. Normal use of a hairdryer shouldn't cause you to lose hair.
