Thanks for sharing your experiences t-bone.
I did PRP/Acell on its own.but i did have a procedure before my 1st PRP and before PRP the transplants looked terrible.
I think it's a given that everyone's scalp looks terrible for at least a few months after a transplant, when there is still redness and all the transplanted hairs have fallen out, but not yet grown back. Do you think your PRP/ACELL treatments regrew hair in any areas outside of the recipient area?

yes micro roller. I have a micro roller at home and use every other night before reviveogen spray.

was your itchy scalp and shedding bad prior to treatment? did it itch in the areas you were thinning?

yes it was shedding and yes it was itchy before treatment.

PRP/acell education
I am still getting PRP/ACELL but not with the Dr. I have mentioned in the past.
I am no longer going to mention any Dr.s unless someone asks...
I was cheerleading and now regret it.
Getting PRP/ACELL is a very layered process.
You 1st need the correct amount of blood drawn.(about 6 tubes)
Then after the blood is drawn you need it place on a synergizer at the right speed and the right amount of time.
After the synergizer a tech will start extracting only a very small portion out of each vile. The goal is to extract only the red cells leaving all of the clear white blood cells behind. It is such a small amount in each vile. Not many Dr.s know this.
After this process it is put back on the synergizer.
Then the ACELL is mixed in a sterile cubicle.
When PRP is finished in synergizer it should be the color of rasberries.
Then and only then will the PRP and ACELL will be extracted into a specific gauge needle.
Also need a mixture of topical lidocaine and something else that will make a paste and completely cover head.(Old Dr. Injected Lidocaine...Big -No-No!)
My new Dr. has someone as an assistant who has a masters in something like cell production...It Is so far over my head I wouldn't be able to describe and Im in nursing and I have really listen because it is just over my head!
To make a long story short you need to go to someone who knows how to do all of the things I mentioned the correct way & in proper order to get any kind of results.
The good thing is that if done correctly you barely feel anything and no swelling.
Next time I will take notes and post.
