    Default What would happen if...

you were to use minoxidil untill you get a good amount of regrowth, and then stop using it EVEN THOUGH you're on Propecia. Will you still lose what you gained?

To the best of my knowledge, I'd suspect that you'll eventually lose any benefit you obtained from Minoxidl once you stop using it. The reason is that Propecia limits the amount of DHT at the hair follicles thus hopefully preventing hair miniaturization. Minoxidil on the otherhand entends the anagen phase of your hair cycle thus allowing you to retain/keep more hair. I'd recommend reducing your Minoxidil usage but don't eliminate it entirely. Good luck!

You will go through a massive shed if you quit cold turkey. You would have to wean yourself off it over several months to even a year or more. I heard Spencer Kobren talking about it on his show a while back.

    You would lose all benefits.

You need to keep up and maintain treatment to continue to benefit.

Minox is a regrowth agent, Propecia is a DHT blocker. 2 different things entirely.
