Explain about Arrhythmia
Arrhythmia refers to an abnormal heart rhythm that can occur when the electrical signals that regulate the heart's contractions become disrupted. This can cause the heart to beat too fast, too slow, or irregularly.
There are many different types of arrhythmias, ranging from benign to life-threatening. Some common types of arrhythmias include:
Atrial fibrillation:
This is a type of arrhythmia where the heart's upper chambers (atria) beat irregularly, causing an irregular heartbeat.
Ventricular tachycardia:
This is a type of arrhythmia where the heart's lower chambers (ventricles) beat too quickly, potentially leading to fainting, cardiac arrest, or sudden death.
Bradycardia: This is a type of arrhythmia where the heart beats too slowly, potentially causing fatigue, weakness, and lightheadedness.
Supraventricular tachycardia:
This is a type of arrhythmia where the heart's rhythm becomes very fast due to an abnormal electrical circuit in the heart.
Treatment for arrhythmias depends on the type and severity of the condition. The treatment for Arrhythmia can be provided by Best Cardiologist in Hyderabad, Some arrhythmias can be managed with medications or lifestyle changes, while others may require medical procedures like electrical cardioversion, ablation, or implantation of a pacemaker or defibrillator
