Weaning off minoxidil

Hi there!

Little background I’m 34, had 2 transplants and been on minoxidil for around 10 years.

As the tittle suggests I’m looking to gradually wean off minoxidil whilst also starting propecia. I heard Spencer Kobren talk about doing this on his show over the course of a year and was thinking of this approach:

Feb/ march - 6x week
April/ may- 5x week
June/July- 4x week
August/ September- 3x week
October/November- 2x week
December/January- 1x week

All I have heard is horror stories of people coming off minoxidil, anyone else taken this route without losing hair on mass? I am expecting to lose some of the hair the minoxidil has been keeping but with starting propecia would that effect be less?
