Im concerned, my transplanted hair is falling out 8 years after surgery
2013
I got a hair transplant of 6000 grafts ($48,000 US) @ 35 years old with a reputable HT doctor in California.
I am 44 years now.
2014
My results from the transplant looked good.
2016
I stopped taking finasteride.
Since 2014 I dye my hair once every 2-3 weeks and I stopped taking finasteride(2016). Is my transplanted hair falling out because of my hair dye? or finasteride?
Im guessing it would NOT be due to finasteride because that only affects the original hair on top of the head. the hair transplanted from the sides and back are DHT resistant.

what kind of dye? I've read that dyes containing hydrogen peroxide and ammonia can cause hair loss. Transplanted hair is DHT resistant, but not immune from DHT. You can still lose it.
