Losing lots of hair after 1 year on finasteride with great results. Temporary shed?

Hi all.

20M. Been taking finasteride for 1 year + 5 months. Had amazing results during the first year, lots of regrowth, but over the past few months my hair has thinned noticeably around my scalp and hairline. Wondering what could be going on. Losing lots of hair in the shower especially. I also get a scalp itches, which I associate with loss. No intention to stop finasteride.

Some things of note: been stressed out and sleep deprived, and I have been using topical minox on my beard for the past few months as well. Could this be a shed, meaning the hair will grow back? Or is this a sign that I need to start dutasteride?
