M23 - Am I receding?

Hey everybody. Recently I've been worried about what I believe may be some recession of my hairline towards the sides. My hairline is still intact in the font (and the crown) but near the temples it seems to be pulling back. My father has a similar hairline in that the hairline has pulled to the sides but hasn't moved back much. Am I being paranoid? Should I start on fin/min? Thanks in advance.

I agree that a before picture would be useful, but looking at your current pics, I can't see any real problem or anything to worry about. It's a good idea to ask the question if you're worried. Going on the evidence here, though, you look fine.

Unfortunately, I have no before picture as this is something I've only looked at recently. I know that makes things difficult but I appreciate your opinions nonetheless.

In general, if you're experiencing hair loss or recession finasteride or minoxidil may help slow down the hair loss and potentially promote new growth. However, these medications are not a cure for hair loss and the results may vary from person to person.

Hair loss is a gradual process and is as a result of genetics, aging, hormonal changes, etc...

How old are you? From what I can see is you are likely to develop more receding especially with sides in future.
