There is a ton of people out there that have taken the pill for 15+ years, and they are doing alot better than they would have been doing had they decided to not take action in their early stages of hair loss.

Very clever, *yawn* another boring Dr Rassman webpage - unfortunately for you - you utterly fail at analysing the work of the doctors througout that "blog".

If you for one moment suspect that by blocking one of the most powerful androgens in the human body and can luckily escape the deleterious utterly underplayed side effects associated with this drug then you are entirely deluded and I wish you luck on your 15 year quest for stable hair retention.

Firstly, dont suspect that 1mg of Finasteride will be even remotely effective after 12 months of use, you WILL need to up the dose, and as soon as you hit 5mg your in the 20% for ED, 10% for decreased libido, 7.2% for abnormal ejactulation, 2.2% for breast enlargement. These figures also only come from those people who report side effects, in other words, they are HIGHLY conservative. Thus, as it has been stated numerous times you have nearly a 50% odds on chance (when considering all other side effects including depression) of receiving at least one side effect, an to be honest, NONE OF THEM LOOK BEARABLE FOR 6 WEEKS LET ALONE 15 YEARS.

back to thread, when is the very best time to get a HT, ok we're all individual but each case is very/quite/kinda close in detail imo.

i wanted to hear from any of you guys with an opinion.
With all hindsight and hypothetical situations, what does everyone think?

to answer my own question, the very best time to get a HT strip procedure is, drum roll

I'm as bald as i'll ever be, other than the 'horseshoe'
I have great hair denisty
I've got the worlds best physician on speed dial
I've got a large sum of money collecting dust in an off shore bank account
I'm waiting for a life times supply of Propecia to come through the post
...and spending a few hours in a comfy chair (X3 or X4) doesn't phase me one tiny bit
