question about propecia.

I had a question about finasteride. After my HT with Dr. Wong he prescribed 1.25mg of proscar every monday, wednesday, and friday, with none on the weekends. I was curious how or why he did not have me take it everyday. It seems everyone i read about on these forums seems to take it everyday. Does anyone else here take it only 3 times a week? My HT was all in the front. I do have some thinning in the crown....but... it isnt something i was extremely worried about yet. As a matter of fact i didnt have him put any hairs in my crown. He did offer to put some back there but i wanted it all up in the front where it was bad. I was a NW3.
