Strip Harvesting Vs. Follicular Unit Extraction

Hey everyone. So, I'm 33 yrs old and have a pretty prominant receding hairline. I'm able to more or less hide it by keeping my bangs down, but of course the wind can blow my cover. lol... man, that'd be a great feeling: walking tall on a breezy day. Anyway, I started a regimen of using prescription strength Nizoral shampoo and breaking 5 mg finasteride tablets into fourths about 5 months ago. So far, I can't tell I've had any new hair growth whatsoever. Which is basically what my doctor told me to expect. The finasteride more or less prevents further hair loss, but doesn't usually result in new growth. At least in the case of hairlines.

So....I'm contemplating hair transplantation but am right now leaning more toward not doing it because of the cost. Plus, I don't know if I want to stay on finasteride indefinitely. I've heard it can cause impotence and sexual dysfunction. Also, I'm not crazy about the idea of Strip harvesting because I don't want a woman to be running her hand through my hair and find a bald strip in the back. Has anyone here gone the FUE way? In theory it sounds like that would be less noticeable since the donor spots are tiny and numerous as opposed to a whole strip of scalp being removed.

    thanks balding brothers!
