Question for Spencer
Hi Spencer, I'm a 32-year-old male from NY who has been suffering from male pattern baldness for the past year and a half. I was wondering if the anti-depressant medication Zoloft (Sertraline) could have either caused this hair loss or brought on premature male pattern baldness? I had been taking Zoloft from 2001-2009, the last few years of which I was taking 250mg of Zoloft per day. Could Zoloft have caused me to lose my hair at an early age (30) rather than at a later age (50)? Thanks.

Maybe you should ask your doctor man.. but I doubt it.. especially if its not a noted side effect of the drug.
