5 months--still early
I would be more concerned if you don't have good growth at 9 months. Patience is easy for me to say but harder for others to do. However, hair growth is on its own clock and hard to speed up, but use Minoxidil 5% Foam if you wish. A few more months and you might be putting up a smiley face. PS How involved was the Dr. in the surgery?

Looks generally fine to me. Month 5 is great for some, not so much for others, but it's a horrible point to make any judgements. Stay the course, stop looking at what other people are experiencing, and evaluate four months with final decision in nine months.
