Default New Asian Member Needs HELP!

    Hellow Everyone!

I'm new here and been lurking this forum for awhile. First off, I'm asian and my guess I'm a norwood 3(35 year old). I notice there's hardly any asian that posts their story or result of their transplant. I've read that Asian hair has diff characteristic and needs the right surgeon to achieve great results. Any suggestion?

BTW, at my stage, approximately how many grafts do I need, is it true for asian hair harder to work with and which is the top doctor would you recommend?

    Is your hair really yellow?

You'll find some Asian transplant patients if you look around. They aren't that rare. Asian hair characteristics are not difficult. Your hair is likely straight and, compared to Caucasians, thicker than average. Asians also tend to have lower density of hair. Those two factors, if anything, can put you to a slight advantage, as the thicker hairs provide greater coverage of balding areas meaning fewer grafts are needed and it's easier for the transplanted area to match the density of your existing hair.

It's impossible to give you a meaningful estimate for how many grafts you need based on where you put yourself on the Norwood scale. You would need to provide photos and it's best to get an actual surgeon's opinion on what you would need.
