    Not sure what to do...

    Hello everyone,

I'm a 22 yr old student living abroad in Europe and recently realized that my hair is beginning to thin out. Now, I ordered finasteride from an online company and started using Nizoral shampoo (I've actually been using it for the past two months). I believe that I might have been a little greedy with the Nizoral by using it 3 times a week and have consequently noticed an increase in hair thinning/shedding. My question is, should I continue using the Nizoral despite this thinning/shedding now that I'm on finasteride? I just started finasteride today. Any help is appreciated. I think you guys are doing a great job with this forum. I've felt really alone with this problem and it's nice to find a resource that I can trust.

    Regards,
    Max

Welcome to the forum fontanjul. Shedding when starting any treatment for hair loss can happen. You might want to cut down the Nizoral to once per week for a while and see how it goes. The finasteride should help, but it takes some time to see results.
    Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Winston, I'll do as you've recommended. Hopefully this will help. My mothers father went bald really quickly at a very young age but from photos we seem to have very different hair types (Although I'm not sure if that makes any difference). I used to have an amazing head of hair now and now it's nowhere near the old "me." Anyway, thanks again for the quick response. Again, it's really comforting to have this forum here for support. You guys kick ass.

      Regards,
      Max
