Boots Chemist UK "Hair retention programme"
Hi, I'd like to ask if anyone on here has any experience of this programme offered by Boots the Chemist please?
I know they offer Propecia, but what is the back up service like? Should sides take effect? Anyone had any experience with them, good or bad?
Thanks.

Boots course is just a VEREY expensive way of buying your meds. You can purchase all products minoxidil and proscar very cheaply if your in the UK and i and others have been for years saving ourselves a fortune.
Look up www.minoxidil-direct.co.uk for minoxidil products
Also speak to Dr John Ashcroft who helps 1000's guys in the UK and has done for years. You can discuss your concerns with him - very well informed guy.

Dont fixate on sides as if you do you will get them - the mind is a powerful tool.
Start meds gradually and introduce your body to them over time.
All the best

Hi, thanks kindly for replying.
I figured Boots is less viable and shall look into your pointers soon.
May I ask what you would consider viable for introducing fin in my routine?
Maybe 1mg every other day or something?
Thanks!

I would persoanlly recommend (however i am NOT a Doctor)
1 x 3 times a week for 2 weeks
1 x 5 times a week for 2 weeks
1 x 7 times a week......
Build it up gradually and dont sit there waiting for the side effects
Even if you get mild ones ride it out for a minimum of 4 weeks as the body needs time to adjust - if sides "real sides" continue to be present - stop the drug and at least you will know and tried.
Highly likely you will be fine - you will always hear all the side effect stories but not the success stories No drama in those.

Thanks very much for this information. Out of interest, you gave a Minoxidil link - do you rate the foam at all? I guess ultimately Fin has the most potentail tho?

The foam is the best version in my opinion. Yes i use it 1 x daily.
Minoxidil is part of the boots program i believe. However VERYT expensive from them and they do not provide the foam version.

Yes they are very pricey, I'll be getting some from the link you provided, I think foam would be better for stealthy application, does it make your hair 'greasy' at all? I did try the liquid version a while ago and found that did?
Thanks!

No - its not greasy at all. It dries quick and actually volumizes hair
Best
