An "is this normal" post-FUE question I haven't found answered elsewhere
Hi all, so I just had my second FUE. The first time, the transplanted hairs grew immediately in their new home, then fell out 3 weeks later, the usual story. This time was with a different (but known and respected) doctor, and it's 2 weeks post-op and the hairs did not grow -- i would estimate at least 80 percent have remained stubble. Nurse says this happens sometimes with some transplated hair, it doesn't mean the follicle is dead, it will grow eventually. I've just never heard of this happening to practically all the hair, though maybe it's more common than I realize. Obviously, I'm very aware results take a year. But this seems weird, and is so different from my first (largely successful) experience, and I would love some reassurance from a knowledgeable third party. Is this normal or a "bad sign" for eventual yield? Thank you!
