Default 2-3 weeks after hair transplant - hair very dry and brittle

The newly transplanted hair is starting to fall out 3 weeks post transplant. It is very dry and brittle and some strands might even be breaking off at the scalp not just coming all the way out from the root. I am using minixidol and then applying a biotin spray the keeps the scalp moisturized about 30 minutes later (although a couple days i didn't have this about 2 weeks in and my scalp was pretty dry during that time)

Is it normal to have the transplanted hairs have this weird, dry texture? Some of the hairs even just lay flat before coming out
