Frontal Hair Loss - Please Help if you can!

    Hello,

I am 23 years old and my frontal hair is becoming thinnner and thinner. I have no thinning on my crown and no receding hairline. From most of my research Male Pattern Baldness starts with a receding hairline and thinning of the crown. What does it mean that my frontal hair is thinning (pretty rapidly as well) but nowhere else? I take have been taking propecia for about 6 months.

WHAT CAN I DO FOR FRONTAL HAIR LOSS?
Has anybody had success with rogaine on frontal hair because i know the tests were done on the crown of the head?
Could it be something besides Male Pattern Baldness?
I saw my Primary Care Doctor and he gave me the propecia. What kind of doctor should i see for more in depth analysis of hair loss?

I think about my hairloss all day every day and it is killing me.
PLEASE HELP - THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE.

i think you're doing all you can. getting a second opinion from an iahrs surgeon couldn't hurt (see website iahrs.org). you could try prp injections. dr hitzig is offering prp with acell which he claims works very well. good luck.

Frontal hairloss is a bitch and all too common, use proscar to hold on to the crown and mid scalp, at 25 if you still are not comfortable with your appearance you can consider a hair transplant but research thoroughly, mull it over for a good six months as it is permanent and if done right it is impressive and undetectable if done wrong you blew alot of money and may have a disappointing result.

It sounds like you are experiencing genetic hair loss in a diffuse thinning pattern. Propecia is probably your best option at this point- have you seen any reduction in the rate of your hair loss since being on it yet?

If you are not confident in your primary care doctor's assessment, you could visit a dermatologist or hair restoration specialist. They will be able to tell you for sure whether it is genetic MPB or possibly something else.

Everyone on here says it doesn't work but I use Rogaine Foam on my frontal hairline area and it worked miracles for me.

here's to hoping it lasts. i grew hair back and it almost replenish my hairline... about a year ago now.

do you have before and after pics from the rogaine? Cause I don't see how it could have worked miracles but im interested.
