Three questions about HT that I can't find answers to so far...
I hope you don’t mind that I message here with a few questions that I have so far not been able to find the answers to:
1. Along with classic balding, I’m also going grey. To combat this, I dye my hair which works well. However, I’m aware that it may affect HT results, perhaps in the early stages. To what extent can I still dye my hair post HT? When do you think it would be possible to start dying again?
2. A major hesitation I have about HT is during the year to wait for the results, and dealing with comments and perceived judgement from co-workers etc. I can probably tolerate a few months of this. But my question is when can I start covering up my head with a hat or anything else during work hours or going out without affecting the regrowth process?
3. I used minoxidil foam for a year to try it out and didn’t notice any difference. I found it quite annoying to put on twice a day to be honest. Post HT, will I need to commit to using minoxidil and finasteride from then on to retain results, perhaps this time in pill form?
A little info about me: I’m a 36 year old male with noticeable thinning on my dome and crown area now. I started noticing it around 5 years ago, but it has thankfully progressed much slower than I anticipated. I have two older brothers who already went bald by the time they were around 27/28 - so I think I’m the lucky one perhaps.
Thank you in advance and much appreciated, Chris
