placebo
ED, ejaculatory disorders,
and decreased libido were more frequently
observed in finasteride- than placebo-treated men
(15% vs. 7%, respectively). The PREDICT trial
showed that the incidence ofEDand reduced libido
were similar between the finasteride and doxazosin
groups. In the PCPT, in which 18,882 men were
enrolled for 7 years of finasteride therapy versus
placebo, approximately 28.9% of men discontinued
therapy in the placebo group compared with 36.8%
in the finasteride group (P < 0.001). Reduced ejaculate
volume, ED, loss of libido, and gynecomastia
were more common in the finasteride group
(P < 0.001).

ED is highly psychological. However, the probability between effects in placebo and non placebo groups is statistically significantly different.
i must also add that gynecomastia is an objective finding.
