AGA and Hair Extensions

Hello! I have had AGA for just over ten years and it's currently under control with the help of 5% minoxidil. I still shed a bit from time to time but my hair looks 'normal' most of the time now.
I've recently made an appointment to get a row of non-glued, pearl/bead style hair extensions to add fullness/body. I've been assured by the installer that they won't cause problems for people with AGA but I'm worried that it will ruin what I have going at the moment and cause my hair to fall out quicker.
I'm Wondering if anyone else with AGA has had this type of extensions installed and would love to hear some experiences, if so!!
