Consultation

Hi guys,

I visited a couple of clinics recently.

The best clinic I visited, I was given a consultation by a consultant that wasn't a surgeon.
He was great, he gave all the info I needed and explained I would be able to speak with the surgeon before via a call, and also I will have a consultation 1-2-1 with the surgeon on the day.

He explained that he couldn't advise me on how many grafts would be needed but explained the area of coverage would be no problem, the Dr will go over everything etc.

I had a great feeling and have all the surgeon info and such.

The problem is, I visited another clinic and had a consultation with a surgeon. I didn't have a great feeling, it was pretty much opposite of my positive consultation. The reason I am writing this, is, the surgeon told me it is illegal for anyone to do a consultation if not medically qualified to do so.

It is odd, but I would prefer to go with the first clinic as I feel they really understood me and took the time to find out what i wanted, and gave me realistic expectations.

I just don't want to work with a clinic if it isn't legal for them to operate.

I can't find any laws around this. Im in the UK btw.
