Too far gone?

Dear Forum,

I started noticeably balding about 3 years ago when I decided to shave everything off. I have one picture from Nov 18 then one from today.

I am in a better financial position now for treatment, but I noticed there seems to be significant hair loss in the last 2 years despite minoxidil use for 9 months.

My question is, am I too far gone at this point? As I said I’ve been shaving my head for 3 years so I haven’t really noticed much of a change. As I grew my hair out a bit this week, I’m starting to see I am way closer to NW 6. Online sources indicate that NW 6 is the cut off, but if I can’t have a decent head of hair (it’s really the crown area I’m bummed about and am amazed at how quickly this happened) then I will just let it be.
