CTE or AGA?

I’m 26 years old . I started shedding hair almost 2 years ago after a stressful event . My hair got super thin on the sides and back . I went to the dermatologist a year ago and he said it was CTE . He had me on topical corticosteroids and shampoo. I stoped using it after 8 month . It did slow down my hair loss . Now my hair doesn’t fall as much as it used to . I don’t see much of a regrowth. I see a little bit of new hair on the crown , but almost nothing on the sides. My right side looks very thin . Was I misdiagnosed with CTE? Does it look like AGA alopecia ? Thank you !
