    Default thinning temple region- options?

    Hey guys,

Im 23, male, and have been losing hair in the temple regions for years now. It's receded quite a bit but I'm okay with how it looks overall at the moment. However, it's not stopping and I know it's going to become worse. In fact, my brother's hair (older by three years) confirms that it will continue to recede.

I'm just wondering what you guys think are good options for maintaining what I have now. I'm not concerned with regrowth. Currently, I'm applying rogaine foam to my temple areas. I've been thinking about getting on propecia but the side effects scare me a little. What are your opinions?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hey MIke,
I'm also 23 and have been on propecia for 1 yr 7 months now. Basically Propecia is your only shot at stopping loss and maintaining what you have.If your hair means enough to you, like it did for me, then it's worth a shot. Side effects are only reported in a very small percentage of users and will subside when use of the drug is discontinued. Seems like a good bet to me..Good luck
