adrenal fatigue and hair loss

Hi Dr. Redmond --

Can you explain the connection between adrenal fatigue and hair loss? Do you believe that adrenal fatigue exists (I understand that some doctors do not)? My doctor diagnosed me with this condition after saliva and blood tests indicating that my adrenal glands are producing very little cortisol, if I understand correctly. I am writing to you because my hair is also falling out, besides the other symptoms of depression and fatigue. I am not sure what course of action I should take to deal with these problems, because it seems to me that if my adrenal glands are the problem, taking hormones for my hair might just be putting a band-aid on the actual issue. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Also, just to let you know, I am only 26, and there is no history of hair loss in my family.
