diffuse loss?

43 y/o no previous hairloss. I feel like one day a couple weeks ago I noticed my scalp and it seemed kind of big to me. Went to a dermatologist who told me, "yeah it might be a little wide, but nothing to write home about." He said I had dandruff and if I was really worried I could go buy some rogain. What do folks think? I've always had fine, but very wavy hair. There are photos of me from May and June where I don't see an scalp.
