Default Questions on donor area density after FUT

I've had some consultations to fill in my high hair line and each doctor has suggested FUT, which I would agree with as I don't want to shave off a large section of my hair.

My biggest worry when thinking about moving forward with the surgery is what is the back and body of my hair really going to look like when this is healed?

I have long, fine strand, average to low-ish density hair. When I wash and style I would say my hair is very light and poofy, in the 2A/2B waves category.

By removing the strip, am I going to be essentially sacrificing the thickest, best looking part of my hair to get a lower hair line?

If anyone who had fine/lower density hair and went through with FUT could weigh in, it would be much appreciated.
