What can I do about my receding hairline?

If i move my hair back the left temples hairline seems to be about 1 cm higher than the rights temple.

There are a few treatments. The first is minoxidil, which is very popular and usually sold under the brand name Regaine (or Rogaine if you're in the US). It comes in either a foam or solution, and you apply it twice daily to a dry scalp where the thin areas are. It takes 3-6 months to start noticing effects, but usually you'll need to use it continuously for around a year for real benefits.

The second is finasteride, a prescription treatment taken once daily that lowers the level of DHT (hormone that causes hair loss) in your blood. This, in turn, can stop hair loss and help hair grow back. Again, like Regaine, you need to use fnasteride for up to a year before you really start to notice benefits.
