A follow up; Minoxidil and questions

Hi gents! I am 21 years old and concerned about my hairloss. I shaved my head in April and have had the sides and back cut while regrowing the top. I started using Minoxidil around that time as well, but am considering stopping usageof it. My question is, is that a dumb idea. My reason for wanting to stopisbecuase it makes my hair look dry/I don't particularly enjoy feeling the need to apply it daily.
Also, does it look like things are in a bad spot? i.e Should I continue the usage of Minoxidil/seek other venues.
In general, does this appear to MPB?
Father went bald in his 40's, mother's father in his late 20's.

Also, uncles on father's side have recession but maintained hair until 40s/50s.
