Hi all,
My first time posting, I am 42 and had surgery with Dr Ilker Apaydin in Instanbul last October. Medical treatment was good and I do not regret the decision. I was very bald for 20 years so expectations were limited.
I now have a couple of issues
a) I have developed terrible dandruff and I dont understand it, I use an anti dandruff shampoo but when I got a haircut last week the hairdresser suggested it was doing more harm than good and I shouldnt wash it every day ? anyone got experience with this or any suggestions
b) I still take propecia but my supply is running out, is it necessary to continue and for how long ?
c) I tried minoxidil (spray bottle) but it left my skin red and eventually I stopped after 6 weeks (the dandruff was around the same time). i would like to restart but really don't want the red head back again, any thoughts ?
d) I liked my doctor and I may go back for more but I feel I need a consult with an independent expert (not a doctor per see but someone who knows hair transplants). Does anyone know if there is an online service that I could pay to get independent advice, like a Zoom consult etc. where I could show results so far and ask a bunch of smaller questions.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
D H
