Guys that are thinning, I have a question

Does your dads side have thick hair but mums side have thinning hair? I find this a common thing with guys who are thinning including me

I never thought about this until you asked. I'm almost 46 and I've just recently noticed my hair is thinning, my dad is 72 with a full head of thick hair, his whole family have and had really thick hair. My mums side unfortunately her brothers all lost the hair on top of their heads, now I'm worried 😱

You've done well to reach 46 with little thinning. I'm 24 and it hit me really hard can I ask has your mum experienced thinning hair at all?

I'm sorry to hear that, I'm really struggling with the realisation that's what is actually happening to me, I hope you're managing to cope better than I am.
My mum is 70, she does have a full head of hair but I'd say her hair is finer and flatter than it used to be.

Strong balding gene on my dad's side. On my mum's side all males started losing hair to some degree around 50. I started to loose my hair around 30, which is considered good as my dad was a nw6 by late 20s.
