Hey guys,
So I made an appointment with a dermatologist ( he actually ended up being a " physicians asisstant" but they assured me he had the education level to help with my situation) after I noticed some hair loss in the shower ( just turned 19) and posted on here. He diagnosed me with some thinning on my hairline, but said it was a little difficult to determine exactly when I go bald. He said " it could be 26, it could be 29" and said I basically have two options: rogaine and propecia. For propecia, since I am wary of the side effects ( his assistant lady even mentioned she saw someone develop man boobs from using it), he recommended I start with Rogaine and then maybe reevaluate in 3-6 months depending on it's effectiveness.
I browsed this form before my appointment, so I was familiar with these treatments. However He also prescribed me something called Clobetasol. He said he's seen the best results when it's used alongside rogaine.
So, sorry for the long text, but here are my questions:
is is this a normal thing to take alongside rogaine? Does it have a side effects?
Is there chance my balding could be postponed until I'm in my 30s?
Is using Rogaine twice a day super time consuming? Will I still be able to style my hair with product?
Sorry for so many questions but I'm, like all of you guys were at some point I'm sure, pretty upset and unsure with how things are going to pan out. I honestly accept that I will be bald, I just really want to keep my hair in my 20s if possible
